Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic neuromuscular condition first characterized in Labrador Retrievers in 1993 and genetically identified in 2008. It causes affected dogs to experience progressive muscle weakness and collapse during or shortly after periods of intense exercise.
